A Master Weaver’s Creation - Classic of Contrast, Woven the Kanchipuram Way
Korvai borders are born of a time-honoured interlocking of threads, where body and border are joined without seam or break. Woven with patience and precision, they create bold, enduring contrasts that define the Kanchipuram tradition.
This double korvai sari bears two such borders, rendered in deep maroon and auspicious yellow. Along them, Yazhis, Annams, and Chakrams appear in measured rhythm, steeped in symbol and heritage.
The body unfolds in a soft peach tone, serene and luminous. Veildhari lines run across it in silk pettu, lending balance and quiet order.
The pallu opens in a dominant maroon, rich and ceremonial. Bands of zari move across it with deliberate grace.
Together, the sari stands as a study in strength and restraint, rooted in classic Kanchipuram craft. Handwoven the traditional way by a National Award Winning Master Weaver.
